A road in Stowe

24/00247APP - Land off North Hill - Erection of Dwelling with Ancillary Access and Associated Parking on Land to the Rear of 6 North Hill. The Parish Council has objected to the application. The reasons are detailed here:
- The removal of the current on-street parking spaces will cause more congestion in an already congested road as properties do not have off-street parking.
- The removal of the footpath outside numbers 5 & 6 will mean the residents would exit their properties directly on to the road.
- It is an overdevelopment of the site and the proposed dwelling is not in keeping with the current dwellings in North Hill.
- The application refers to Right of Way STO/13/1 having been redirected. The Parish Council believe this is not the case as it is still showing on the Definitive Map and the Parish Council has not received any correspondence relating to a proposed diversion.
- Access to the proposed site along North Hill is severely restricted by the on-street parking. The Bucks Council waste collection teams cannot get their waste freighter up North Hill so all bins are brought down to the Main Road.
- Loss of mature trees at a time when Bucks Council are encouraging the planting of trees.
- The proposed access will mean that the road will pass number 23 at head height which will have an impact on that resident both visually and from a noise perspective.
- Investigation should be carried out into the possibility that there are bats lodging in numbers 23 & 24.
